Refresher Course

Even if you’re still confident about your skills it’s sometimes recommended to take a refresher course. For example if you haven’t been diving in the last year and are going on a trip (overseas) where you plan to do some diving. Some dive centres require logged dives as proof that you have been diving in the last year or even 6 months, depending on the dives you will doing on your trip. If you haven’t dived for a while, they’ll have you do a refresher on location to make sure your skills are up to date. If you’re planning on doing some diving while travelling it’s always recommended to check with the local dive centre what their requirements are for joining them on their dives. In case you would have to take a refresher it’s always better to do your refresher dives here in Adelaide before the start of your trip, so you can spend more time fun diving on your holiday!

Your refresher starts at the dive centre where you will fit your dive gear and meet your friendly & professional PADI diving instructor or divemaster. You will discuss your past scuba diving experience and talk about the skills you will be practising during your refresher. This way you know exactly what to expect! After the gear fitting you will drive to the dive site and do 2 dives. Our instructor will explain all details regarding the skills before you enter the water, and show them to you as well before he will ask you to perform them. After the skills section, it’s time for a fun dive where you will explore the local marine life! Once the dives are finished you will log your dives together with your instructor.
